Hope you are all doing well and recovering from the 2014 Holiday Season. Like always, it is fun to see the holidays come, but it sure feels good to get back to normal again. My card this week is for both the DSC#114 DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge and also for the and Mojo #379 Contest. I named this entry card "A Butterfly for You". When I first saw the colors for the DSC#114, my first thought was yuck, not Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo together...but as I started working on the card, sparks of ideas starting coming into my head and it all finally came clearer to me.. In the end... I ended up really actually liking the color combo together and I really LOVED the layout of this week's Mojo#379 Sketch.
For the base of the card I used the Island Indigo CS. The decorative papers were made with the Moonlight Paper Pack. The BEAUTIFUL Butterfly was created with Hello Honey CS and the NEW Butterfly Thinlits Dies from the New Occasions Catalog. Isn't that butterfly just so darn elegant? It has such a lacy look to it, so much detail, just gorgeous! I made the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board and the envelope liner was made with the Moonlight Paper Pack. The final "tweak" was adding the Hello Honey Ribbon and a few Rhinestone Gems to the Butterfly body. I put the cardstock cutting sizes at the end of this post for you. I hope you enjoy the card, I would love to hear your thoughts...God Bless!
