Just Sayin' - DSC#127 and MOJO #392 Challenges

Hi Stampers,
So have you been taking advantage of the FREE SHIPPING this week offered by Stampin UP? I sure did.  Among other items, I just had to order another Stacked With Love DS Paper Stack. I have used my existing Stacked With Love DS Paper Stack so much over last few months, but more for everyday cards rather than Valentines Days Cards.  The back sides of the papers in that stack are all done in black and white patterns, so... I have been having a great time creating with that paper for many other cards and Envelope Liners.

My card this week is called Just Sayin' (yes, I used the Just Sayin' Stamp Set), and once again this card is for both the DSC#127 DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge and also for this weeks Mojo #392 Sketch Contest.

I had a friend over last Monday for a "girls day" of card making and lunch. Fun and relaxing day!  I worked on this card along with a few others too.  This was a quick and easy card to put together.  I was inspired to make this from a photo I saw on Pinterest by Mary Fish.  I changed the papers and made the layout a little different to match the Mojo #392 Challenge layout and to make it my own.  I LOVE working with a black and white paper combination, it always seems to lead to an elegant looking card. Really liked both this weeks DSC#127 DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge and also the  MOJO #392 Card Sketch Challenge, so I combined both challenges once again into one card.

For the card base I used the Whisper White CS. Other layers were all done with the With Love DS Paper Stack  and the banners and little heart were done with Real Red CS.

Both the matching custom envelope and it's liner were both made with the Envelope Punch Board.  For the envelope liner, I used a sheet of paper from the Stacked With Love DS Paper Stack. (not all the paper in that pack needs to be used for Valentines Day!). I stamped the "Love Ya" and cut it out with the matching Word Bubble Framelits.  The final "tweak" factor was adding 3 little black gems.  I hope you enjoy the card, I would love to hear your comments on the card if you have time. God Bless!

Flower Patch Birthday Card - DSC#126

Hi Stampers,
What fun, fun colors to work with on this weeks Color My World DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge DSC#126 Card.  Love it!  These colors spoke to me right away and said "Spring Card". I was watching my granddaughter this whole past weekend and all she ever wants to do it make cards and projects in my craftroom.  LOL, Great for me, as I was able to work on this card and finish it while still being able to be entertaining her at the same time.  For this weeks card, I used the Flower Patch Stamp Set and Matching Framelits for the flowers and the sentiment on the card. The little leaves were done with the retired Sizzlits Little Leaves Die.

For the card base I used the Calypso Coral CS. Layer 1 was done with Whisper White CS and I scored three small lines using the Score Board.   I used Garden Green CS for the leaves.  Of course, the inks used were Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe, and the center of the flower I used Daffodil Delight Ink.

Both the matching envelope and it's liner were both made with the Envelope Punch Board.  For the envelope liner, I used a sheet of paper from the The Best Year Ever DSP. The final "tweak" factor was looping and adding the  Linen Thread.  I hope you enjoy the card, I love all your comments and read them all.  What do you think of the card? God Bless!

Mixed Bunch- DSC#125 Thursday Challenge Card

Hi Stampers,
I am slowly getting back to normal around here.  My dog Cooper, is finally starting to act normal and is eating again after the terrible invasive surgery he had to go through.  But thank Jesus that he is on the road to recovery.  I took him yesterday to have his 50 plus  staples and stitches removed, so over next few weeks he should be almost like new. I can't thank you enough for all your kind emails and concern, thank you again!

On the business side, Are you ready for Spring?  I am....so this week I made a Spring Card for this weeks  DSC#125 DOstamper STARS Thursday Home Sweet Home Card Challenge. The card is called "Mixed Bunch", named after the stamp set used for the card. The Home Sweet Home Challenge Photo below just said "Spring" to me, and I thought of flowers and bright colors.

For the base of the card I used the Daffodil Delight CS.  Layer 1 is good old Basic Black CS, and the top layer is Whisper White CS.  For the three Whisper White pieces, I cut it in thirds first, stamped the images on them using the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, and then cut off 1/8" off the top piece and an 1/8" off the top of the bottom section so the black would show through.  Both the custom envelope and it's liner were both made with the Envelope Punch Board.  For the envelope liner, I used the Stacked With Love Paper Stack. The final "tweak" was adding the two Rhinestone Gems.  I hope you enjoy the card, If you have any questions, feel free to email me.  I would love to hear your thoughts...God Bless!
