A Nice Cuppa - DSC#163 & PPA282

Hi Stampers,

Don't you just love the new things in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog?  And how about the FREE Saleabration items you can earn for every $50 purchase from the Annual or the Occasions Catalog? Some things are just way too cute!  The moment I saw the "A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and the Cup & Kettle Frmaelits I knew that I had to order them.

So today for both the DOstamper Thursday DSC#163 Sketch Pad Challenge, and also for the  Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge PPA282 (rotate PPA sample image to the left),  I made my card using the "A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies" and also the matching Have A Cuppa Designers Paper Stack.

A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and the Cup & Kettle Frmaelits and the matching Have A Cuppa Designers Paper Stack are just perfect for Valentine’s Day, Friendship, Sister or a Daughter's Birthday , Mother’s Day, Tea Bag/Hot Cocoa Card, or a Get Well Card.  So many uses. 

The cardbase and layer 2 were both Whisper White CS, the base was cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored @ 4-1/4", and layer 2 was cut @ 3-1/4" x 4-1/2".  Layer 1, layer 3, were cut from the Have A Cuppa DSP Stack and were cut @ 4" x 5-1/4" and 2-3/4" x 4". The envelope liner was also cut from the Have A Cuppa Series Paper Stack too.

Using the 2-3/8" Circle Scallop Punch, I punched out Silver Glimmer Paper and then cut it down to size to fit into the cup.  The final touch was adding the Little Tea Doily and Basic Pearl Gems to make this such a "Girl" card.

Stampin Up Vivid Vases-Paper Piecing Technique

Hi Stampers,
Are you thinking Spring yet?  I am, at least in my making of cards. This card is my entry card for the Dawn Olchefske DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge.  It is the Color My World DSC#075 Challenge for this week.   The color chart for entry is posted below my card.  Those are the colors that I had to work with and create a card to enter .I really LOVE the way this card came out!  There are quite a few different takes out there on the Vivid Vases Cards out there right now because of the stamp being in the Occasions Catalog.  It's funny, when I saw this Stamp Set I really didn't have any desire to buy it. But as time went on and I thought about it more and more, and ideas started brewing in my head as to what I could do with it.  Then.... I knew I had to have it.  Great stamp for Easter, Spring, Mothers Day or just a plain Hello or a Friendship Card too. Heck, you could even use this stamp for a "Girlfriend Birthday Card too.  Endless... I hope you like the card and it gives you Spring Fever.  I have made a YouTube Video for you below to explain how I made the card.  If you have time, leave me a comment...I would love to hear what you think.

Directions

1. On the 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" scrap (for vase) and using Stazon Ink, stamp the Vases Stamp onto paper. Cut the paper into strips separating the vases. Using different stamps from the Six Sided Sampler Stamp Set, stamp patterns from the stamp set onto the vases with the 3 different ink colors. Cut out the vases and set aside. 
2. Stamp the Vivid Vases Stamp on the other 3-1/4" x 4-1/2 piece of WWCS. 
3. Using the cut out vases, glue some vases onto the top layer of Vivid Vases and "Pop" some other of the vases with Dimensionals. 
4. Using the markers, color the flowers on the top layer. 
5. On the Tangerine Tango CS, stamp using Tangerine Tango Ink and Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to form a light background pattern. 
6. Using Snail, attach the Tangerine Tango layer 1 onto the card base. 
7. "Pop" WWCS layer 2 onto the layer 1 tangerine tango layer. 
8. "Pop" the sentiment layer 3 onto layer 2.

Mixed Bunch Stamp Set

This is the card that I made for my daughter-in-law for Mother's Day. It was made with the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set.

 

 

(I think the vase of flowers card idea was actually a card share originally posted by Elizabeth Schwerm,

 but I am not really sure since so many cards get repined all the time).

• 2 1/2" circle punch for bottom of pot and just cut it straight at bottom to match the bottom of the card to flatten pot look.
