“Oh What Fun” Snowman Punch Art Card

Hi Stampers,
I can't believe that My Halloween Cardmaking Season is at the end, and My Christmas Cardmaking Season is here.  I have been very busy working on some new Christmas Cards for you and for My Card Class Students.  I have just made this cute little “Oh What Fun" Snowman Punch Art Card.  I used the Season of Style DS Paper Stack and the Christmas Messages Stamp Set.  I absolutely love this stamp set!  I have already used the Christmas Messages Stamp Set more than any other Christmas Stamp Set that I own.  I t's a great stamp set and I have a ton of more ideas for it!  Leave a comment in the comments section below letting everyone know what your favorite Christmas Stamp Set is, it's will be interesting to see how many great Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock #100730
  • 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" score @4-1/4" for the Basic Card Base
  • 4” x 5=1/4” for the inside of the card
  • 3" x 3-3/4" embossed with Chevron Embossing Folder
  • 2-1/2" Circle punched out with Circle Punch
  • 8” x 8” for Envelope (punch @ 3-1/2”)
  • 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" for "Oh What Fun" label cut from Apothecary Framelit Die
   Old Olive Cardstock #100702
  •  4" x 3-1/4"
  • Punch out (2) Holly pieces with a Holly Punch for the top of the hat
   Season of Style DS Paper Stack #132181
  • 2-1/4” x 4" for upper part of card (lay 1/4” off top of card)
  • 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” for envelope liner
  • 2-1/2' x 3/4" for scarf near neck area
  • 1-1/4" x 3/4" for scarf tie
  • 1" x 3/4" for shorter scarf tie
   Cherry Cobbler Cardstock #119685
  • (2) pieces @ 3/4" x 3/4" for the scarf fringe (cut fringe to hang fringe 1/4" below the scarf ties)
   Basic Black #121045
  • 2-1/2" x 1/2" for the hat rim
  • 1-3/8" square punch for the top of the hat
  • Using the Owl Punch, punch out (2) black circles for the eyes
  Pumpkin Pie Cardstock # 105117
  • 1-1/4" square punch for nose
   Red Chevron Ribbon #
  • Cut a 15"piece for the tie and knot on front of card

Directions
  1. Cut all Cardstock as listed above.
  2. Take the 3" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White CS that was embossed with the Chevron folder and glue it to the 4" x 3-1/4 olive green cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 
  3. Tie the ribbon around it keeping ribbon close to the top of the paper.
  4. Attach the 2-1/4” Season of Style DS Paper for upper part of card with snail (lay 1/4” off top of card).
  5. Attach the lower embossed/Old Olive CS over the bottom edge of Season of Style DS Paper keeping it ¼ off bottom edge of the card base.
  6. Sponge edges of the 2-1/2" circle (the snowman’s face) with Smoky Slate Ink
  7. Ink the black hat edges with White Craft Ink
  8. Glue the lower edge of the rim of hat to top of snowman head.
  9. Punch out the eyes with the Owl Punch and use the white gel pen to mark out the eyes.
  10. Fringe the (2) pieces of 3/4" x 3/4” Cherry Cobbler CS for the scarf by making small cuts with your scissors. (The fringe should extend 1/4" below the scarf ties)
  11. Using Dimensionals, "pop" the head, the scarf area around the neck, and the upper top and middle of top part of hat.
  12. For the nose (measure up the edge to the 1/2" mark on edge of square and mark with pencil. Then draw a line on an angle to the corner of the bottom of square to form a thin triangle shape for the nose and cut out for the nose.
  13. Stamp “Oh What Fun” with Cherry Cobbler Ink and cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit Die and attach to front of card with dimensionals.
  14. Using the 4” x 5=1/4” Whisper White CS for the inside of the card, stamp a sentiment. (I used “Hoping your Christmas is trimmed with the love and warmth of family and friends”) and then attach the CS to the inside of card.
  15. Attach the (2) pieces of Old Olive Holly and the red gems for the Berries to the hat.
  16. For the envelope, take the 8” x 8” Whisper White CS piece and punch and score on the Envelope Punch Board @ 3.5” mark.
  17. Using the 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” Season of Style DS Paper cut for envelope liner, punch using the Envelope Punch Board @ 4=1/8”, DO NOT SCORE, then flip over and on the opposite diagonal side punch again.
  18. Apply the envelope liner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope applying Multipurpose Liquid Glue to top half of the liner only.
  19. Fold envelope and put a line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the sides only
  20. Fold the bottom of the envelope upwards and onto the glue you just applied on the sides.
