Lotus Blossom Card - DSC#119 & Mojo 384

Hi Stampers,
I am CRAZY about the FREE stamp from Sale-a-Bration called Lotus Blossom.  Last week I showed you on my video how to work with the stamp set doing the layering for the flower.  I will attach the video from last week to this weeks post also in case you missed the instructions on working with the stamp set.  This weeks Lotus Bloom Card is for both the DSC#119 DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge and also for the Mojo #383 Contest.  This card is a Birthday Card for which I used the Crazy about You Stamp Set for the sentiment.  The colors in the Home Sweet Home Photo below had so much black in it and also pink or rose, but also had just a little hint of yellow, so right away I saw flowers in my head.   I really LOVED the layout of this week's Mojo#384 Sketch. So...once again, I put both these wonderful ideas and challenges together and created my card.

For the base of the card I used the Basic Black CS.  Layer 1 was a combination of Whisper White CS and the All Bloom Paper Stack.  The top layers were Strawberry Slush, Basic Black and Whisper White.  ( Sorry about the horrible photo, the Strawberry Slush looks almost Orange here, but I was out of town when I took the photo and the lighting was terrible.  The Stampin Up paper below in the supply list shows the true color of Strawberry Slush).  Of course the stamp set was Lotus Bloom which you can earn FREE for a $50 order from the New Occasions Catalog for Sale-a-Bration.  The flower layers were done with Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and  Blushing Bride Inks.  The stem was done in Pistachio Pudding.   Both the envelope and it's liner were both made with the Envelope Punch Board.  For the envelope liner, I used the All Bloom Paper Stack. The final "tweak" was adding the Daffodil Ribbon and Bow   I hope you enjoy the card, I would love to hear your comments on it if you have time.  God Bless!
