Painted Harvest Gift Bag - DSC#253

Hi Stampers,
I love Autumn/Fall Colors, something about them are so peaceful!  Here is my take at this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#253 Home Sweet Home Challenge!  For this gift bag I used my new Painted Harvest Photopolymer Stamp Set. This is truly a beautiful set and a must have for your list.  The sunflowers come out so beautiful with this set, they almost look real!

The colors using Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry really compliment one another so much.  Love it!

I masked the sunflower after I stamped it before placing the leaves in place.  This way it looks like the leaves are behind the flower.

The finishing touch was to add the little linen thread to the Sunflower..

Basic Instructions:
  • For the bag I cut the paper 12" x 8-1/2".  With the landscape side at top of the score board I scored at 4-1/4", 5-3/4", 10", and 11-1/2'.  I did a partial score only 5" down at the 5' mark and the 10-3/4" mark.(These will actually fold into the opposite direction when you use bone folder)  Then turn paper to the right leaving the 8-1/2" side across top of the scoreboard and score at 1-1/2" and again at 7-1/2"
  • Cut Whisper White CS @ 3" x 3"
  • Cut Soft Suede CS @ 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"
  • Cut Cajun Craze CS @ 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
  • I stamped the flower first with Crushed Curry Ink, and then Cajun Craze Ink.  The center of the flower and sentiment were both stamped using Soft Suede Ink.
  • The leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz Ink.
  • I punched 2 holes using an 1/8" hole punch.
  • The two pieces of Burlap Ribbon were cut approx 12-13" long and knotted inside the bag.

Colorful Seasons Card - DSC#252

Hi Stampers,
Here is a look this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#252 Color My World Challenge!  This card was made with the Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Bundle.  I made the sun with the retired  Kinda Eclectic Clear-Mount Stamp Set and with a sponge dauber. It is a little hard to see on the first photo, but on the second photo you can see the sky I created using the Pool Party Ink.
I know that it has been a long time since I posted.  I have been very ill and it has been hard for me to make the weekly card and do the weekly posts and sale item alerts. But I hope that you will enjoy this card and stick with me!

I used a combination of inks to create the fall looking leaves. Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Inks together.  For the envelope liner I used the retired DSP and cut the paper for the liner 4" x 4".

The finishing touch was to add the chair from the Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Bundle. to soak up that sunshine.
