Top Note Santa Ornament & Gift Card

Hi Stampers,
Here is an adorable and fun duo purpose project.  This Santa Top Note Ornament also serves as a Gift Card.  I made this with the use of the Stampin Up Top Note Die and a few Stampin Up Punches.  Give this to someone with an attached Gift on the back, and afterwards they can hang it on the tree as an ornament.  I loved working on this today with my class, I hope you enjoy it too.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think...

 

Cardstock

Cut (1) Top Note 

• Real Red CS #102482 (for hat and tassel and use leftover paper to punch out (1) Mosaic Punch )
• Pink Pirouette #111351 (for face and partial body and nose)

Cut (3) Top Note

• Whisper White CS #100730 (one for beard, hat trim and the (2)birds for the mustache, second for the backing behind all of the parts when it is all assembled, and third is used for 1/2 of a top note for the gift card holder)

Cut out as noted

• Basic Black # 121045 (small scrap piece for the 1/2' circle punched eyes)
• Old Olive #100702 (small scrap for (2) of the Holly punches)
• Red Glimmer Paper #121790 (punch out (2) circles using the 1/2” circle punch)

NOTE: Cut out pieces as laid out below. (HINT: I used outside of the #8 die from the Oval Framelits Collection for the curve on the pieces) Made the nose and Mosaic from the left over pieces from the top of pink and bottom of the red.

Directions

1. Attach the tassel to the pink top of right side of head.
2. Attach the top of the hat.
3. Emboss the beard, birds, the hat trim, and ball of the tassel for hat with the Manhattan Rose Embossing Folder.
4. Apply Anywhere Glue Stick over beard, birds, the hat trim, and ball of the tassel for hat and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds.
5. Using a dauber, sponge checks with Pink Pirouette Ink
6. Attach the white trim onto the hat, the beard, and the ball onto the tassel.
7. Use a glue dot to attach the two birds together at the heads forming the mustache. "Pop" the mustache onto Santa with Dimensionals.
8. Sponge the nose edges with Pink Pirouette Ink and glue onto mustache.
9. Mark out eyes as shown with gel pen and attach the eyes to the face.
