THIS POST WAS UPDATED TO A NEWER AND BETTER METHOD OF CREATING THE FOLDERS. SEE MY 3/1/2014 POST http://craftyandcreativeideas.blogspot.com/2014/03/organize-embossing-folders-with.html
Are you tired of searching thru piles of embossing folders just to try the right folder for a project? Well search no more...
I have had some requests to show I organize all of my embossing folders. I had actually bought colored folders from Staples Office Supply. Using the Staples folder completely opened, I cut out a small folder 10 1/2" long x 7" wide from the staple folder itself. I made a tab on top of the folder by using the tab on the staples folder itself as the top of my new little folder and just trimmed it down a little to my liking. I then laid the new little small folder on score board with the bottom of the folder (you will be using the 7" wide bottom and it will be against the side of score board. It will be the side without the tab cut out). Now I scored it at 5" and also at 5 1/4" front the left side of the folder. This forms the little 1/4" pocket to hold the embossing folder.
The folders are now all stored inside a DVD plastic case with a removable top which enables me to take the box with me to my friends houses when getting together to make cards. I leave the top off of the case when at home and just store the DVD case on my shelf with quick access to them when making cards and just keeping them all organized all the time. Thank you so much for viewing my cards and for taking the time to leave me your comments! I read all of them, and I sincerely appreciate all of them!

Like this idea. Where did you get the DVD case they are stored in??
ReplyDeleteI think that I had purchased it at Walmart. I purchased the case a while back for my markers and never used it until I came up with this storage and organizing idea. I'm so glad you like the idea. Good luck!
DeleteThis is so cool, thank you. I sat down and did this for mine right away. Going to do for my CTMH My Acrylix stamp sets.
