Swirly Scribbles Challenge Card - DSC#184

Hi Stampers,

Take a look at this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#184 Color My World Challenge!  I'm having a great time designing with both the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.   I kept trying to tell myself that I didn't need the Layering Squares Framelits Dies, but was I wrong!  I am soooo glad that I purchased them.  I love them!

 

The colors this week were so fun to work with, and worked out perfectly with the new "Pop of Pink  Specialty DSP Paper".  I have always been a fan of using Black & White CS Papers together, but adding that little bit of Melon Color too was just perfect.   I was able to add just a little Melon and still have much of my white showing through by using the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies is another MUST HAVE new product that I am so glad that I purchased.  I have used it on so many cards already, Love it!

The finishing touch was to add the little bow with Whisper White Bakers Twine and a little Black Gem from the Neutral Candy Dots.

Upcoming JUNE Card Class

Hi Stampers,

Relax for a few hours while doing some card making and meet a few new friends. In the June 23rd Class we will make 4 cute and different original cards. One of the cards is the Swirly Card below. The cards will be nice/cute & fancy....ez enough for beginner stampers yet interesting enough for the experienced and more advanced stampers. I help you every step of the way in constructing the cards.

You must RSVP and pay for kits by June 13th.  Please remember to look at the listed supplies below in class description that you will need to bring to the class.

Stampin Up Love & Affection - DSC#183

Hi Stampers,

Here is a glance at my DOstamper Thursday DSC#183 Sketch Pad Challenge.  This week you get a sneak peek at FOUR MORE NEW Products.  The Stampin Up Love & Affection Stamp Set,  the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,  the Layering Squares Framelits Dies, and the 2016-2018 In Color Stampin' Write Markers.

For the card base I used the new  Emerald Envy Cardstock.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the NEW Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, cut it 3" in size using the scallop die from the NEW Layering Squares Framelits Dies,  and then I colored the flowers using the NEW 2016-2018 In Color Stampin' Write Markers.  

The finishing touches were to add the NEW Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape, the NEW Whisper White Thick Bakers Twine,  and a few tiny Pearl Basic Jewels Embellishments.

I made a custom liner for the envelope using the Gorgeous Grunge Clear Stamp Set and the new color Inks. Of course, as with all my cards, the matching envelope and liner were both made using the Envelope Punch Board.

Sneak Peek - Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles

Hi Stampers,

Here is a Sneak Peek of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Stamp Set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies Bundle.  This bundle was the foundation of my cool modern circular designs on the card I made for this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#181 Sketch PadChallenge!.   I just LOVE this new set!!!  The Swirly Bird Stamp Set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies Bundle will be available for purchase June 1, when the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog begins.

Using the new Swirly Bird Photopolymer Bundle made working on this week's challenge so much fun!  These modern circles are so darn cute!  

I'm still staying organized, and you can too..., I mounted the nine dies in the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies Bundle collection to my 6 x 7 magnet cards from Stamp-N-Storage.  (When you purchase for the first time with MY Stamp-N-Storage link you will save 10%).

Did you catch that Beautiful Custom Envelope Liner that I made?   I made using Whisper White CS, the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and New 2016-2018 In Color Ink Pads Colors too.

The finishing touch was to add the beautiful new Flirty Flamingo 3/8" Ruched Ribbon and the little gold Sequin pieces form the Metallics Sequin Assortment .

Basic Instructions:

• Using the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies Bundle, cut out large Circle with Flirty Flamingo CS. 
• Cut Whisper White CS base 8-1/2" x 11" and score at 5-1/2".
• Cut Flirty Flamingo CS @ 4" x 5-1/4"
• Cut Whisper White CS @ 3-3/4" x 5", using Baked Brown Sugar Ink, stamp with the background dots. 
• Stamp the Circles with Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo Inks.  The leaves were stamped with Old Olive Ink and cut out with the framelit.
• Cut 1 (5") piece of  Flirty Flamingo 3/8" Ruched Ribbon, and wrap about the top layer of card before attaching with dimensionals to the Flamingo layer 
• Add 3 Gold Sequins
• Stamp sentiment using Peekaboo Peach Ink onto Whisper White CS and cut out with the small Banners Framelit.
• Envelope and Liner were both made with the Envelope Punch Board.    NOTE:  (I custom made the cardstock for the liner)..
