Coaster Post-it Note Holders with Matching Clips

Hi Stampers,
For today's DOstamper Thursday DSC#147 Color My World Challenge, I have the cutest little Coaster Post-It-Note Holders with Matching Clips. These are so much fun to make and so easy too!  I ordered a package of blank coasters from Amazon, and I am having a blast covering them in different Designer Papers.  These coasters are the perfect little gift to give to a teacher or a friend. Really.....who doesn't use Post-It Notes? I even think they are cute to give to a hostess too or as a topper on a Birthday gift. I'm sure no matter who you give them to they will just love them!

Can't you just picture some of these coasters covered in some of the new Christmas Designer Specialty Papers? How cool is that?  I'll be making a video this week for you on how I did these and I think I just might use the Christmas Paper for the video.

Which coaster is your favorite and why???  If you ave time to leave a comment it might be fun to take a poll and see which coaster is the viewers favorite.  I would love to hear from you.  Have a great week and God Bless!

.

The image on the left was designed using the colors required for the DSC#147 Color My World Challenge.  I used the new English Garden Designer Series Paper to cover the coaster and clip, and Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon for the bow on the top of the clip.

As you can see in the image above the English Garden Designer Series Paper  has both the Night of Navy and Soft Suede Colors in the paper needed for the challenge.

For the coaster above, I used the new Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack and the ribbon was  Lucky Limeade 3/8 Inch Ruffled Ribbon

The finishing touch  on both coasters was adding the ribbon bow on the top of the clip!

Enjoy!
Would love to hear what coaster you like more and why??????

Petite Petals Challenge Card - DSC#146 & Mojo 412

Hi Stampers,
Gosh, I cannot believe that it is Thursday already..where did the week go?  Sometimes they just fly by.  For today's card, I have combined both this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#146 Home Sweet Home Challenge, and the MOJO 412 Sketch Challenge . This was a tricky challenge trying to combine the purple and black colors in the STARS Challenge DSC#146, but still making it work with the layout of the Mojo 412 Design.  I used what I thought looked like Perfect Plum and Basic Black from the photo.  I am pleased with the way this card came out, what do you think? Have time to leave a comment?  I would love to hear from you.  Have a great week and God Bless!
.

The layout for this weeks MOJO 412 was definitely a fun layout to work with, and the colors in the photo for the Home Sweet Home DSC#146 started to work for me, but not until after trying three different colors for the center circle.  But..., finally it started to click for me.

The large circle in the center was done with the #6 from the Circles Framelits Collection.  I used the "Hello" from the Hello You Framelits, the little flowers were done with the Petite Petals Bundle, and I used paper from the Pretty Petals Paper Stack for the leaves.  The DSP paper was from the Regals Collection.  The inside sentiment was done with the New Watercolor Words Stamp Set.   The last minute touch was adding the Pearl Gems to the flower centers.

Basic Instructions:
  • Cut Perfect Plum CS @ 8- 1/2" x 5-1/2" and score @ 4-1/4" for the base -another piece will be needed to cut out the #6 Circle Framelit.
  • Cut Whisper White CS @ 4" x 5-1/4" for layer 1 and also cut a 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece.
  • Cut Basic Black CS @ 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" for center layer, and cut out the hello from black scrap.
  • Cut Perfect Plum  DSP from the Regals DSP for bottom of the card @ 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" ".
  • On a scrap piece of Whisper White CS, stamp the flowers using Petite Petals Stamp Set, punch out.
  • With  Petite Petal DSP punch leaves.
  • Tie the Whisper White Ribbon around card and make a bow.
  • Add 2 Pearls
  • Both the Envelope and the  black striped Envelope Liner were made with the Envelope Punch Board and the Stacked With Love Paper Stack.
