Hi Stampers,
Here is my card for this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#196 Color My World Challenge! The colors for this weeks challenge were amazing to work with! All of the colors from this weeks challenge can be found in the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper. A Horizontal Card Fold is a cute and easy fold design that creates a pocket on the front of the card. I used that pocket to insert a note card into it. You can also use the pocket to add money or a gift card to the card too! As you can see, I used the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch and attached it to the note card for quick removal of the note card.
The Pear Pizzazz Cardstock cardbase was cut @ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored @ 1-1/4" and 4-1/4". The Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper pieces were cut @ 5-1/4" x 2-3/4 and 5-1/4" x 1". The Whisper White Cardstock note card inside was cut @ 4" x 5".
I used my Envelope Punch Board to round off the corners.
For the birthday banner, I stamped Happy Birthday using the Birthday Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set and Watermelon Wonder Ink, then cut it out using the Bunch Of Banners Framelits Dies.
I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock @ 2" x 3" and punched it out top with the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch, then used Tear & Tape Adhesive to attach to the top of the note card. The final touch was to add the cute Peekaboo Peach 3/8" (1 Cm) Ruched Ribbon and bow.
As you know, I always make my own Custom Envelopes and Custom Envelope Liners so they all match my cards using the Envelope Punch Board. The stripes for the liner were done using the Draw The Line Photopolymer Stamp Set (retired) The finishing touch was to add the little tie with the Twine Baker's Whisper White on the ribbon tab.
