Oh Happy Day DSC#080 Thursday Challenge


Hi Stampers,
Hope your week is going well.  I have still been so darn busy with preparing things for my daughters upcoming wedding and also keeping up with work and posting to the blog etc. Never seems like there is ever a spare moment to relax. But... I did make another card for the DOstamper STARS Thursday Home Sweet Home Challenge Card DSC#080.  I just love fell in love with the colors in this weeks DOstamper STARS Thursday Home Sweet Home Challenge CardDSC#080.  I used International Bazaar, Early Espresso, Whisper White, and Pear Pizzazz Cardstocks to make my card.  I also used the Starburst Bundle for sentiment and framelits.  The color combination that I had to work with this weeks card is really nice, and I really liked it! Directions:
  1. I used Early Espresso CS for the cardbase and cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored @ 4-1/4".  
  2. The Pear Pizzazz was cut @ 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" for inside bottom layer.The International Bazaar CS was cut @ 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" and also a Whisper White CS backing behind the International Bazaar cut @ 1-5/8" x 5-1/2".  
  3. The Starburst sentiment was stamped on Whisper White CS using Early Espresso Ink and I also cut a Starburst with Pear Pizzaz and applied both to front of card using Dimensionals. 
  4. I used 19" of the Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, and 3 Pearl Gems to embellish.
  5. Both  the top and bottom of the inside of the card I used Whisper Card CS and the Adorning Accent Framelit to cut the arc pattern.
  6. For the inside on top half of card finished measurement was 4-1/8" x 5-1/2" and bottom was 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" .  Top inside was used to cover up the ribbon and bottom was cut smaller so it would not show through onto the front of the card when the card was closed.

Google Feedburner Email Delivery Problem

To all my faithful readers...

The Google Feedburner newsletter/email delivery service I have been using since I started my blog  and use to be able to share my craftyandcreativeideas blog posts by email and RSS feed for you, is not working properly for some readers and my research indicates Google may be actually shutting down the Google Feedburner service to all their google blog clients altogether, with little or no advance notice to any of us.

While many of my email Feedburner subscribers are still getting the updates whenever I have posted, many are not. So, I have to decide if I need to move to a different delivery service now or if I have time to see what Google is going to do about the Feedburner service.  Some of my fellow demonstrators that are also bloggers have lost all their viewers to this problem. I have to see how badly this is affecting my blog.

I usually post 2-3 times per week, informing you of my weekly sales and also posting my cards.  Can you please be kind enough to email me @craftyandcreativeideas@gmail.com and just let me know whether you are receiving the posts regularly?  I will double check your email against the Feedburner client email list so I can see how many of my readers are being affected by this Google Feedburner service not working properly. If I don't hear from you, I will assume that you never saw this post and you have not been getting the blog posts as you should be getting.  I really appreciate all my readers and my clients helping me to analyze this problem, and I want to clear this problem up as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for all your support!  I really hope to hear from you, as that way I will know that my readers have not been affected at this point and it gives me some time to work around the problem rather than loosing viewers due to the fact that Feedburner is working properly,  and if the case, immediately start making a change to another email delivery system other than what I am using.  Thank you all for following me, you are what it is all about!

"Hello Card" DSC#079 Thursday Challenge

Hi Stampers,
This weeks DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge DSC#079 was really a fun one.  I looked at the challenge sheet that was given to me, and it didn't take very long for my creative brain juices to start giving me ideas.  I went to bed and woke up knowing exactly what I wanted to do for a card.  Now tell me...did I really even sleep if I figured this out while supposedly sleeping?  For my "Hello Card" DSC#079 I used the For You Stamp Set for sentiment and also the Mosaic Bundle to make the mosaics on the card and Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Gumball Inks.  The directions and card stock measurements are listed below.  Hope you enjoy it.



Directions:
For the card base I used Whisper White CS cut at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", Tangerine Tango CS for layer 1 cut @ 4" x 5-1/4".  Layer 2 was WWCS cut at 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" and embossed with Polka Dots embossing folder and tied a few laps of twine on right side of the card.  The Gumball Green Card Stock was cut at 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" and the small WWCS was cut at 2-1/8" x 2-1/8".  I used the For You Stamp Set for the Hello and the Mosaic Madness Bundle to cut out mosaics which I put a small rhinestone in center of each. The embossed layer 2 and the mosaic pieces were popped on card with dimensionals.
