Butterflies, Butterflies, and more Butterflies, that is what I see when I look at this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#143 Home Sweet Home Challenge photo. I just got my new Watercolor Wings Stamp Set, and I'm lovin it and having a great time stamping with it. I used both my Butterfly Basics Bundle and the Watercolor Wings Stamp to make this card. Did you see yesterdays post on how to make Envelope Liners for ANY SIZE ENVELOPE? If you missed the post, scroll down and catch the post from 8/4. Hope you enjoy the card. If you have time, let me know what you think...God Bless!
The Watercolor Wings Stamp Set, is a 3 step stamping set, and it sure does make some beautiful butterflies! For this week I made a Miscellaneous Card for the Challenge so it can be used for about any occasion at all.
Basic Instructions:
- Cut Island Indigo CS base 4-1/4" x 11" and score @ 5-1/2".
- Cut Whisper White CS @ 4" x 5-1/4" for layer 1
- Using the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set, stamp the ferns on layer 1 Whisper White CS using the Garden Green and Old Olive Inks and use the Early Espresso Ink for the little brown banner at bottom of the layer.
- Using the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamp the Butterfly on layer 1 Whisper White CS, and also on a scrap for the small butterfly then cut out small butterfly with the framelit.
- Cut Whisper White CS 4" x 5-1/4" for card insert.
- Stamp sentiment with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Whisper White then flag edges of the Early Espresso and Whisper White CS using the Banner Edge Punch.
- Place 1/2 of a Tea Lace Doily on right edge of card and lay some looped Linen Thread on top of it.
- Add Rhinestones to the butterflies and pop the sentiment.
- Envelope Liner was made with the Envelope Punch Board and the Kaledoscope DSP
