Hi Stampers,
Wow, it's Thursday already...that sure was a fast week. For this week, I have combined both this weeks DOstamper Thursday DSC#140 Home Sweet Home Challenge, and the MOJO 405 Sketch Challenge . I tried to pick up what I thought looked like Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White colors from the photo. I noticed the little cupcakes on the pillowcase, so I made the card into a Birthday Card. I used an old retired stamp set call A Cherry on Top for the cupcake. I really love the way this card came out, what do you think? Have time to leave a comment? I would love to hear from you. Have a great week and God Bless!.
I just loved both of the challenges this week! My creative ideas just flowed without a lot of thinking effort at all. The layout for the MOJO 405 was great and the colors in the photo for the Home Sweet Home DSC#140 were wonderful! It really made it a fun week for creating this card, I just LOVED the way the card came out.
Basic Instructions:
- Cut Melon Mambo CS @ 4-1/4" x 11" and score @ 5-1/2"for the base - the other piece will be cut about 6" x 1-1/2" for the angled strip.
- Cut Whisper White CS @ 4" x 5-1/4" for layer 1 and use the Perfect Polka Dot Folder to emboss it. Cut another piece @ 3" x 3" for center layer and stamp "Happy Birthday" using the Sassy Salutations Stamp Set.
- Cut Wisteria Wonder CS @ 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" for center layer.
- Cut Wisteria Wonder DSP from the Subtles DSP for bottom of the card @ 4" x 3-1/2".
- On a scrap piece of Whisper White CS, stamp the cupcake using Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake Inks and then punch out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. Sponge edges with Melon Mambo Ink.
- On scrap of Wisteria Wonder CS punch out a circle with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Sponge edges with Wisteria Wonder Ink
- Tie the Whisper White Ribbon around card.
- Add 2 Candy Dots
- Envelope Liner was made with the Envelope Punch Board and the Subtles DSP.
