Hi Stampers,
This weeks card will be a Christmas Punch Art Card which required me using some retired punches and framelit sets, but it is also a sneak peek into the new Occasions Catalog. The Challenge photo below definitely says Christmas to me. Christmas time as a child reminds me of Hot Cocoa; so...my card for this week's DSC#161 Home Sweet Home Challenge is a punch art cocoa card and it will give you a sneak peek of the new stamp and framelit set from the new Occasions Catalog called A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies.
The new A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies is perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Tea Bag/Hot Cocoa Card, Get Well or simply Love or a card for a Great Friendship. This fantastic set will be available for purchase Jan 5, when the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration promotion begin, so get your wish list ready!
For many of the shapes on this punch art card I had to use some great (but retired punches) to get the shapes that I wanted. For his little hat, I used two retired punches, the Ornament Punch and the Blossoms Petal XL Punch, along with the current Oval Punch. The little hand were done with the old Mitten Builder Punch. So as you can see, many of the punches are used for creating other shapes other than what the punch alone would do. Working on a punch art card, you need to grab whatever will work to give you the shape you need and alter it a little too. Little candy cane from from the oldie but goodie, Scentsational Season Stamp Seet and Holiday Collection Framelits. That adorable little tea cup is from the A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies.
Punch art cards are tons of fun to make. Try one sometime...
Hope you enjoyed the card, love to hear your comment if you have time.
God Bless!

ReplyDeleteThank you Dawn! I didn't think I would ever finish designing and making this card. Hard to get just that perfect shape from punches that is needed for different parts of the card. Appreciate your comment!
